Background
The company was incorporated in 2000. Based on the idea of helping consumers achieve a greater degree of security when purchasing goods and services, we have established a new Norwegian insurance company specialising in legal assistance. Forbrukerforsikring AS, now HELP Forsikring AS, acquired a franchise from the Norwegian Ministry of Finance in October 2005 and opened its doors for business on 1 December 2005.
Owners
The company is owned by private and larger financial shareholders. Our largest shareholders are German ARAG, Storebrand Livsforsikring AS and Ferd AS. As an insurance company, we are subject to scrutiny by the Norwegian Exchange Commission, which conducts supervision of all our financial undertakings.
